TVWS devices installed in Jechon city was developed by Innonet.

At the 21st Provincial Information and Communication Best Practices Conference hosted by the Ministry of Public Administration and Administration and hosted by Gangwon-do and the Korea Information Society Agency, Jeon Seong-sik, Minister of Information and Communication and Information and Communication Team of Jecheon City Hall, received the Presidential Award.

The event was held for two days from September 1 to 2 in Wonju, Gangwon-do, with more than 420 local government officials in charge of information and communication, and eight cases passed the first round of 51 excellent cases submitted from 17 trials nationwide. The case was announced, and Jeon-Sung Kim, the official of the Jecheon City Hall, who announced the “Mountain Oji Village Internet Service using TV White Space (TVWS) technology”, received the Presidential Award. 

Jecheon City applied for the TVWS system construction support project of the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning in 2015 and supplied the Internet to the villages of Hwanggang-ri and Hancheon-ri, Hansu-myeon. This area is a mountainous outback village where electricity is not supplied to the village, which has been submerged by the construction of Chungju Dam and has to spend about 30 minutes through the unpaved forest road from Sangno-ri, Hansu-myeon.
