Society where people live together through TVWS technology.
INNONET, an IT company, try to export to the African and South American markets through the Public Procurement Service's innovative procurement overseas pilot purchase project. Innovative products such as ‘Fixed TVWS (TV White Space) Gateway’ and ‘TVWS Backpack Wi-Fi’ developed by INNONET are products that enable high-speed wireless data service without communication charges over a distance of 10 km or more. INNONET plans to expand the global market, focusing on developing countries that lack communication infrastructure.
Overseas markets based on public trust.
South Africa has been actively promoting TVWS at the government level and has become the first country in Africa to confirm TVWS technology standards. Innonet is collaborating with CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research), a government-funded research institute. INNONET has already supplied parts to be installed in local governments in South Africa, and plans to install a public safety net, including internet and e-learning infrastructure and smart mines in South Africa.
“We are also conducting business in Tanzania in cooperation with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) African base and KOTRA Tanzania Trade Center. “It will be used for public services such as Internet installation at KONDOA schools, real-time streaming at tourist attractions, smart mines, and smart farms.”
In the case of Colombia, where the business started with the introduction of the KOTRA Colombia Trade Center, Internet services were established in the village and kindergarten of Buenoventra, Colombia through collaboration with ICESI University in Cali. In the future, we plan to expand to smart cities, rural school internet construction, and public safety nets.
“In developing countries, there is a lot of interest in the Internet, safety, and emergency communication network markets. TVWS technology that can satisfy the interests and requirements of these developing countries is expected to grow rapidly based on empirical evidence from developing countries.”
CEO Yoo Ho-sang hopes that if the gap between the rich and the poor and the information gap in developing countries is resolved through TVWS technology and services, a ‘society in which people live together’ will be brought forward as soon as possible.
‘Society in which we live together’.
“Not everything I try goes smoothly, but at the moment of decision, I try to do things that are ‘fun’ rather than ‘money,’ and I feel attracted to ‘something valuable that we can do together.’ it is very important to develop products that are differentiated from other companies and to possess unrivaled technology.”
Currently, INNONET is making a new market in military and public safety by differentiating it as an emergency public safety network service product and linking it with drones, military security modules (KCMVP), and IoT terminals.
