Innonet, a South Korean ICT device and software company, has developed a portable backpack-type mobile base station (backpack LTE) with a wireless backhaul device that can be applied to the national disaster safety net. This device can be applied to disaster situations when the communication network is destroyed or disconnected.
Backpack-type base stations are portable for immediate use without additional installation. Communication services are available on TVWS or satellite backhaul, and over long distances of over 8 km. This technology was created to distribute the traffic overload of network systems. The base station is also equipped with a touch screen and a web UI.
